We finally arrived safely, Santa. Thankfully the household dog, Lucy, met us at the train station and brought some speedy transportation with her otherwise it would have taken us a bit longer to get here. She’s a pretty fast dog, Santa. If you ever need a back up reindeer for your sleigh- you might want to consider training her for the job. Although, I’m not real sure how well she’d do with flight training…

We heard that the family watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on their T.V. last night. But mostly what we heard was that the oldest girl, Ana, wrote you a letter and then said something that was very concerning to us. We will keep an eye on her for you Santa and do our best to build up that Christmas spirit in her heart. We don’t want the Grinch to try and get into this house. We have had run-ins with him in the past and he’s a mean one.

From our first observations, we notice that each of the children have continued to grow. In fact, the oldest boy, Sam, is getting quite tall for his age. On one of our reconnaissance missions this summer we saw that he was the tallest boy out of all his friends. He seems to be a good boy (so far), although he is a bit messy. When we got here and went to check in on him last night, I stumbled over some big pile of stuff in his bedroom and almost hurt myself.

The young girl, Emily, on the other hand had such a nice and neat room. She was sleeping so soundly. The funny thing though, Santa, is that when we were in her room she was whispering in her sleep saying things like “Elves…hurry up….can’t wait….mmmm…chocolate.” It made us giggle. You can tell that her Christmas spirit is at an adequate level to start with. We’ll see how high we can get it.

Now the littlest boy, what’s his name…? Oh yes, Jack. We remember him well from last year. We determined that he does indeed have a smidgen of Elf DNA in him. He is tricky, into lots of mischief – especially when no one is watching, but yet very charming and can be well behaved when need be. We found him sleeping with your mailbox! I’m pretty sure we are going to have to keep a close watch on him, I think he might want to climb into your sleigh and come back to the North Pole like that one human did a long time ago.

Well, Santa, we have some things to do to prepare for tomorrow. Shhh….it is the girl, Ana’s birthday tomorrow. She is turning 13!
