Waiting for the Elves to Arrive

This morning the boys woke up and searched high and low for the elves. As I was waking up I heard Sam announce, with disappointment in his voice, that the elves were not here. So, we all got up and Papa and the boys started getting ready to head out to the Bears-Vikings football game.

Then I got a text...from Santa! He said the elves were on their way! And THEN he called me! Thankfully Jack was around to hear him. He told Jack that he was hearing good things about him and that he was getting another star on the Nice List. (This helped mom immensely when she asked them to pick up their room before they left).

But the elves didn't arrive before the boys headed out to the game. So mom decided to go grocery shopping instead - with a bit of trepidation. (You never know what might happen in an empty house during the month of December).

Well, when mom got home from shopping she found the elves had arrived. Shortly after the girls got home and found a letter they left. They apologized for being late (and missing the football game) but their friend wanted to come along so they had to go pick him up. And since they missed the football game with the boys they decided to have their own game.

They brought their house too, and a new North Pole sign.

And their reindeer were hitched to the sleigh that carried all their supplies for the long journey.
